Bowl-A-Vard Lanes is one of three, state of the art bowling centers, owned and
operated by the Bussan family. It was originally built at 2909 East Washington
Avenue in 1950 where Johnson Street intersects with E. Washington. On March 16, 1994,
Bowl-A-Vard Lanes burned to the ground over night and a new center was built at it's
current location on E. Springs Drive. The doors opened for business on January 27, 1995.
Bowl-A-Vard Lanes was the first bowling alley of its kind in the Madison area and was a test site for Brunswick's
newest technologies.
Today Bowl-A-Vard features 40 lanes of bowling, with Frameworks automatic scoring, GSX Brunswick
Pinsetters, automatic bumpers, and two projection screen TVs so you can bowl and never miss a play
of the big game. Our state of the art kitchen can accommodate any size party in one of our 3 beautiful
banquet rooms. Our two incredible bars offer over 20 tap lines, 7 pool tables, 5 dart boards, a
championship shuffle board table, 3 big screen projection TVs, and over 15 other televisions to
watch your favorite event.
Phoenix Pro Shop is also located at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes. Ran by PBA card holder, Bob Holzbauer,
Phoenix Pro Shop is one of the premier pro shops in the Madison area. It has all of the latest
technology in the bowling market today and has some of the best hours you will be able to find.
